Mandolins offer a tremendous challenge to the luthier. I have enjoyed expanding my skills in crafting these beautiful instruments. I am particularly drawn to A-style mandolins and focus on the building of this model. The instrument on the right is my "Pacific" model which features a redwood top and mahogany back and sides. The oval hole and horizontal bracing give it a deep, rich tone that is perfect for old-time or Celtic music.

I do not often have mandolins in stock and I build them on a custom-order basis. Delivery time is normally three to six months and prices start at $1200. Please contact Jeff to discuss design options and availability.
