The Blue Ridge Banjimer

This instrument is a new hybrid of several older instruments. The fretboard is laid out like that of a dulcimer, but you hold it and strum it more like a guitar. The pleasant sound it makes is much like that of an old- time banjo. This makes it very popular with our customers. The banjimer is primarily a melody-line instrument, so as you get used to it, you can play melodies just as if you were humming them. I believe it is just about as easy to play as you can make a fretted-stringed instrument.

The walnut neck and body are complemented by a maple fretboard  a redwood soundboard. It comes with a case, an instruction book and an audio CD to help you get started.
